Skynamo reinforces the power in Powafix’s sales team

Powafix has been serving the paint, building and allied trades in South Africa for over 25 years, and prides itself on quality service in providing its expertise to branches nationwide. A strong focus on customer service and quality has seen the business grow into the success it is today, this Powafix case study examines why.

With representation in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and the Free State, the business needed a sales solution that would maintain the quality of service that the business prides itself in, while also moving with the times into the digital era.

Joel Poilly, Sales Manager at Powafix was introduced to Sam Clarke of Skynamo by his trusted sales marketing manager. “We got in touch with Sam, who presented us the range of capabilities that the Skynamo app can offer for small to medium-sized businesses. We were impressed and decided to try it out,” Joel says. “Our 3 reps at the Durban branch have been using the app for 3 months now on a trial basis, and in the beginning, I’d say after the first 2 weeks, there were some ‘teething issues’.”

Whereas before, Powafix was inundated with excessive manual labour, the app now allows it to offer a large service by doing stock counts, quotes and even orders.

So where will the new relationship with Skynamo take the business? “Hopefully we’ll be able to roll the trial out to the Johannesburg branch, as it’s been taken up so well here in Durban.”
